Project: Pole barn, built from 100% site-harvested, site-milled oak, pine, and cedar.
Dates: 2009 – 2013
My family and I moved to Water Valley in 2007. We left in 2011.
Dec 2007 – Eli, building inspector, inspects barn site (background) 
Sep 2009 – Cedar center posts are set
Dec 2009 – Eli and me attaching 2x6 full-thickness pine cross pieces 
March 2010 – Tin roof, lower tiers in place 
arly Sep 2010 – Trusses are up
Late Sep 2010 – Roofing is done
Dec 2010 – Bat-and-board siding is started at least, 1" full thickness oak planks...
So we're getting there slowly... 2011 – added some oak siding little by little after a good snow in January
Spring again!
